Last week we saw the giant betting suffer a big blow after high court threw out their case on the excuses of technicalities. Sportpesa had sued the state and wanted compensation on the loses they incurred after their licensing was not renewed.
Sources at the betting firm informed us that the only option they are left with is to comply with matiangi directive and get back to work like other betting companies have done.
Sportpesa this week will have to agree on a repayment plan with KRA beyond they resume this week on wednesday.
If sportpesa returns back, then they will enjoy the monopoly shares since their main competitor betin are still lock out completely after their directors were deported from the country amid crack down on rogue gambling companies.
We are really following this matter and we will keep you posted with any developments.
